Lancers Baseball Season Begins on Saturday

The USC Lancaster Lancers baseball season begins on Saturday January 31st at 1:00. The Lancers will be hosting Surry Community College in a doubleheader. The two teams will also play a twin-bill on Sunday starting at 1:00. The Lancers have not played Surry since the spring 2009 season as the teams spilt two games a piece at Surry. Admission to the games is $5.00 and season tickets will be on sale at the gate. The season tickets are $50.00. Also, USC Lancaster students have free admission, but they must present their student id card at the gate. We look forward to a great season of baseball and come out to Doomsday Corner to support the Lancers. Read more.

Blue Team Wins Lancers' Annual Blue-Gold World Series

The USC Lancaster Lancers Baseball Team finished up the fall practice session with its annual Blue-Gold World Series game on November 13th. The Blue Team won the series on Wednesday to wrap up the fall practices. The Blue Team members were sophomores Rooke Crouch, Derek Croxton, Chase Haas, Ben Taylor, Bobby Watford, and Eric Yost and freshmen Alex Boulware, Aaron Dahm, Gunner Deal, Brent Latham, Grant Petrey, Linc Powell, Marshall Pratte, K.P. Prince, Lukas Ray, Dalton Russell, and Hunter Wooten. The Lancers will resume practice as soon as the spring semester starts in January as they gear up for another spring season of baseball. The Lancers host Surry Community College on January 31st and February 1st at Doomsday Field. Game times are slated for 1:00. Read more.

Lancers Baseball and the Lancaster Dream Team Participate in Halloween Game

The Lancaster Dream Team and the Lancers Baseball Team participated in a Halloween themed baseball game on October 30th.  The Lancers and the Dream Team came dressed in their best Halloween costumes and enjoyed the night as everyone had a wonderful time.  USC Lancaster faculty and staff provided games for the children to play and passed out candy to everyone in attendance.  After the game with the Dream Team the Lancers played a five inning game that provided some laughs and enjoyment.  Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with this wonderful event. Congratulations to Seth Akers as he has been chosen student-athlete of the week. Seth, a sophomore on the Lancer Soccer Team is majoring in Criminal Justice. Seth has worked hard in the classroom and on the soccer field the past two years at USC Lancaster. Congratulations Seth. Read more.
