USC Lancaster outhits Heartland Community College in 6-5 defeat

USC Lancaster won the hit battle 9-4 on Saturday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 6-5 in seven innings to Heartland Community College at Francis Marion University.

Randy Luckett racked up two RBIs on two hits for USC Lancaster . He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning. Chad Gendron got the win in relief for Heartland Community College. Gendron pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed no runs. Heartland Community College was sparked by Andrew McCafferty and Cody Dykema, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.
