USC Lancaster falls behind in sixth inning in 5-4 loss to Pitt Community College

Pitt Community College took the lead in the sixth inning, and USC Lancaster was unable to muster a comeback, losing 5-4 in seven innings on Sunday at Winterville, NC. Dallas Newton got the win in relief for Pitt Community College. Newton pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed no runs. Neither team scored until the fourth when USC Lancaster got on the board. USC Lancaster scored on an RBI single by Byron Haag. Pitt Community College went up for good in the sixth, scoring one run on an RBI single by Parker Lamm.
