Lancers Baseball Sweep Gray Military Academy

The USC-Lancaster Lancers Baseball Team posted two more wins on Sunday as the swept Gray Military Academy in four games.  The first game on Sunday featured Chris Stewart on the mound.  Chris went seven strong innings as he fanned four hitters and gave up three hits.  The Lancers were led at the plate in the first game by Jordan Williams as he doubled and drove in two runs.  Derek Croxton and Zach Callahan drove in runs.  The Lancers won the first game 7 to 1.

The late afternoon game on Sunday was a Lancer win as they went on to defeat Gray Military 12 to 0 in five innings.  Tyler Jackson got the win as he struck out five batters and issued no walks.  The Lancers' bats came alive in the last game as there were 12 hits.  The leading hitters were Ranz Bodison, Wade Arduini, Mitchell Price, Jake Carr and Tad Martin.  Bodison went two for three and drove in three runs.  Arduini, Price, Carr and Martin supplied a couple of hits and drove in a couple of runs.  The Lancers host Middle Georgia State College at Doomsday Corner this coming weekend.  Game times start at 1:00.
